Bandhavgarh National Park

Before seeing a tiger face to face its existence is merely an idea, a story you have been told, an elusive creature.

Seeing one in the wild changes everything you thought you knew about them.
On first glance they captivate you with their looks, and then, in one form or another, they tear you apart.

Our Safaris started early, way too early...

but being in the jungle for sunrise has its benefits.

I wasn't that bothered about a tiger sighting, until I saw these

and we raced through the wild, with hope

listening out for the deers warning calls.

The Indian Blue Jay.

On the second day we found our treasure,
and considered our mission a success

and then we came across this family...

We sat motionless, 4 metres away

while they examined us.

It was very clear that, tyre marks aside,

 we were in their land.

Our home for the week

where we read

and just watched.

Thank you, Bandhavgarh.
